Born in Indianapolis, IN and raised in Chicago, IL, Tom developed an interest for architectural drafting and design at an early age. He studied Architectural Drafting at the Lane Technical High School in Chicago and began his career as a draftsman at Stanley Knight Corp.

He went on to work in the foodservice industry with dealers, equipment operators and equipment consultants. He has been an independent food service equipment consultant for the past 25 years.

Tom’s hands-on design approach allows him to create the ideal solution for each of his clients. Interacting directly with architects and food service directors on each project, Tom enjoys creating functional designs within budget. Most importantly, he enjoys seeing his clients satisfied with the end product.

When he is not designing, Tom has a passion for helping others and spends his free time volunteering. He is a 36 member of the Lions Club International, providing assistance for the sight and hearing impaired. He has held leadership positions within the organization as District Governor and Trustee for the Lions of Illinois Foundation.

Tom has also been involved with the Lions Project for Canine Companions for Independence (LPCCI) which raises funds for specially trained dogs to assist people with physical challenges. He was recently Area Director of the Year and currently serves as 3rd V.P. on the national Board of Directors.

“Some people golf or bowl,” Tom says, “but I have chosen to help people less fortunate than us, which is time-consuming but rewarding.”
